The Cirque Story

As digital spaces gradually replace tangible spaces for connection, we seek to promote the parts of life that cannot be replaced.

Cirque Society is founded on the passion for bringing women together in meaningful community through nature, movement, and shared experiences- the things we need most.

We believe in bringing women back to their roots.

Through days in the mountains, shared meals, campfire conversations, and everything in between.

73% of Gen Z women struggle with loneliness, and 66% report chronic anxiety.

This isn’t a personality problem; it’s a structural one.

We have never had more ways to connect, and yet, genuine connection can feel harder to find.

Our lives are increasingly lived through screens, schedules, and digital spaces designed to keep us engaged, but not necessarily together. At the same time, wellness has become increasingly individual- something to track, optimize, and consume.

The result is a generation of women craving something more tangible: shared experiences, meaningful friendships, and places where they can show up as themselves.

We believe real wellness starts with real connection to ourselves, to each other, and to the world around us.

Cirque brings that back to the basics: outside, on the trail, around the table, and in good company.

A Gap in Connectivity.

Meet the Founder

“My name is Madeline Johnson, and I am a 20-year-old entrepreneurship student, travel enthusiast, and freeride skier.

Being raised in Jackson Hole, WY, and Salt Lake City, UT, I’ve grown up with the mountains as a constant. Somewhere to push myself, reset, and gain perspective.

CIRQUE came from that same feeling.

Entering college and navigating early womanhood brought plenty of change, uncertainty, and searching for belonging. Through these transitions, the outdoors were my solace, and the women I met through them became my community.

I’ve found that same sense of connection through travel. Some of the most meaningful connections I’ve made have come from being somewhere unfamiliar, sharing new experiences, and finding community far from home.

I saw how powerful the outdoors, travel, and community could be on their own, and how much more powerful they are together.

I hope to facilitate a space for women to find what I was lucky enough to find in the women around me.”
